Have you attempted to print, but nothing appeared on the foam?
Perhaps you noticed only printless foam coming out instead of the expected print?
There are several potential reasons why this issue might occur.
One common cause is that the sealing sticker on the pod itself has not been removed. This sticker is placed on the pod to keep it sealed during shipping and must be taken off before use.
Please carefully remove the pod from the printer and check to see if the sealing sticker is still attached. If it is, remove it completely before attempting to print again.
If you have already removed the sealing sticker, the next step is to inspect the blue latch that secures the pod inside the pod housing. This latch is responsible for holding the pod firmly in place when you close it. Sometimes, the latch or the spring mechanism that supports it can be faulty or even missing, which can prevent proper contact and printing.
Assuming the latch is in good condition and functioning properly, the next component to check is the white FFC (Flexible Flat Cable). This cable connects the pod housing to the motherboard located at the back of the printer. If this cable is not securely connected, or if it has become damaged, it can lead to printing problems. Please ensure that the FFC cable is firmly and correctly seated on both ends — at the pod housing and at the motherboard.
If the FFC cable appears to be properly connected and intact, observe whether the pod housing moves during the printing process. Movement is necessary for proper operation. If the pod housing does not move, it is likely that one of the printer's axes is malfunctioning. In this case, it is recommended to contact a human support agent for further assistance.
TLDR:
Did you try printing but got blank foam or no print at all?
Here are some common causes:
- Check if the pod's sealing sticker is still on. Remove it before use.
- Inspect the blue latch that holds the pod in place. A faulty or missing latch can cause issues.
- Verify the white FFC cable connecting the pod housing to the motherboard is secure and undamaged.
- Make sure the pod housing moves during printing. If not, an axis might be malfunctioning—contact support.
