Tutorial: How to Implement an Empty Frame (Watermark)
An empty frame, often referred to as a "blank frame," is essential if you wish to allow custom images or selfies to be printed without a frame. If you are not following Ripples Dynamic content and you have frames uploaded to your system, you will need to add a blank frame to enable frame-less printing of selfies and custom images.
If you are currently following Ripples default content, a blank frame will already be uploaded for you. Having a frame present in the private libraries ensures that using a frame is not mandatory.
Follow these steps to ensure you have a blank frame option available:
Step 1: Download the Empty Frame
- To get started, you must download this empty frame.
- A blank frame is available for free download. In the sources, this file is noted as Empty new 2.png (40 KB).
Step 2: Upload and Position the Frame
- Take the downloaded empty frame and upload it to your custom frame channel.
- Crucially, you must ensure that the empty frame is the first frame in the channel.
- Positioning the empty frame first in the channel makes sure that the blank frame is the initial option displayed on the Ripples App.
You have a frame in the private libraries so that the frame isn't mandatory.
If following Ripples default content you will have a blank frame already uploaded.
