Stripes or lines in your print can come from the sensors, the pod, or the way the pod was dipped. Follow these steps in order. They fix most cases.
Step 1: Clean the sensors and print area
Run Daily Maintenance and clean the sensors as described in Ripple Maker II - Daily Maintenance. See also How to clean Ripple Maker II/Pro sensors.
Step 2: Re-dip the pod
Remove the pod, dip it in hot water for 45 seconds, and make sure it is seated properly. Pod handling is covered in Ripple Maker II - How to Replace Pod? and Ripple Maker II Pro - How to Replace Pod?.
Step 3: Run a test print
Go to Menu > Maintenance > Test Print and compare the result with the examples in the Print Quality Troubleshooting Guide.
Is it the pod or the machine?
- If other pods print well on the same machine, the pod may be faulty.
- If every pod shows the same lines, the issue is more likely the machine or sensors.
