Not happy with how your print looks? This guide shows you how to run a test print, work out what is going wrong, and fix the most common print quality problems on your Ripple Maker II / Pro.
Step 1: Run a test print
A test print on paper lets you check the machine's output without wasting a drink.
- Go to the menu.
- Tap Maintenance.
- Place a piece of regular printer paper in the machine and tap Start Test Print.

What common print problems look like
Excellent print – this is what you are aiming for.
Unrecognizable image
Distorted image
Bad canvas
Lines or stripes in the print
Light printing
Step 3: Fix the most common issues
Poor results in general
- Run Daily Maintenance and try printing again. This often solves the problem. See Ripple Maker II – Daily Maintenance.
- Watch the print quality improvement video:
Lines or stripes in the print
What to do:
- Clean the sensors and the print area (see How to clean Ripple Maker II/Pro sensors).
- Re-dip the pod and make sure it is seated properly.
- Run another test print.
If the stripes remain, see Stripes or lines in your print: pod or machine? for what to send us.
Image printed off-center
Symptom: the image is not printed in the center of the drink.
What to do:
- Check that the mat is facing you properly.
- Make sure the cup is in the middle of the mat.
- Run Daily Maintenance (this resets the pod house homing).
- Check that your software version is above 1.3.
- Gently move the pod by hand into the front right corner, as far as it will go.
