Event Preparation Checklist for a Successful Ripple Maker Experience
This checklist will help ensure a seamless event experience with the Ripple Maker. Follow these steps to prepare, execute, and wrap up your event!
Before the Event
1. Design Preparation
- Create Customizable Designs: Maximize brand exposure by preparing designs that match your brand’s unique style. For Ripples Design Guidelines click here.

2. Webapp Skin
- Branded Webapp Skin: Create a complete end-to-end exclusive branded experience by customizing the Ripples Webapp look, feel & function. Watch the tutorial here.
3. Pod Supplies
- Order Pods in Advance: Place your pod order at least one week prior to the event to ensure adequate supply. Order here.
4. Ripple Maker Testing
- Conduct a Functionality Test: Test the Ripple Maker at least a week before the event. If issues arise, you’ll have time to coordinate with support for repairs or replacements. Connect Ripple Maker to the internet, send mobile queue image and test that the Ripple Maker is printing perfectly.
During the Event
1. Internet Connection
- Dedicated Line Required: General tradeshow WiFi is often inadequate. Use a dedicated internet line, preferably with an Ethernet cable, for reliable connectivity. Troubleshooting article click here.
2. Electrical Requirements

Power Outlet per Unit: Each Ripple Maker needs its own outlet with the following specs:
- 3 AMP, 100 Watt, 220/110 Volts, single-phase, internationally compatible.
3. Beverage Quality
- Micro-Foam Milk: Lattes and cappuccinos should use froth with smooth, bubble-free micro-foam for the best print results. Milk frothing tutorial here.
- Barista Skills: Select baristas with high-volume experience who can create micro-foam with a creamy white center, ideal for showcasing designs.

4. Required Equipment
- Commercial-Grade Coffee Machine: A professional machine with steamers is necessary to prepare high-quality beverages.
5. Barista Preparation
- Heart Test Practice: Baristas should practice making a latte with a visible heart design to perfect the technique and avoid bubbles before the event.
6. Ripple Maker Staffing
- Staffing Ratio: Assign one events team member to manage every two Ripple Makers to ensure smooth operation.
7. Photo Station Setup
- Photography Station: Create a branded, well-lit area to photograph printed cups, encouraging social shares.
- Backdrop Design: Prepare a 20” x 20” branded background with at least three design options.
- Lighting: Ensure dedicated lighting for optimal photo quality.
8. Selfie Station Setup
- Webapp QR Code: Print a poster with your Ripples Webapp QR code on it to get your guests to send their own custom designs and selfies. Find Generic Posters here.
- Engagement Zone: Create a designated selfie station with a solid white background and frontal lighting.
- Capacity: Allow space for 1-2 people per photo for a comfortable experience.
After the Event
1. Ripple Maker Cleaning
- Clean Thoroughly: Remove any splashes or spills from the inside and outside of the Ripple Maker.
- Remove Pods: Remove pods and replace the protective plastic cover
2. Perform Daily Maintenance
- Clean the Drip Tray: Wash out and remove any extracts and dry off. Watch the video click here.
