Symptom:
The RM2 doesn't connect to the Wi-Fi network
Action:
Address your network manager at your entity in order to open new ports to the RM2.
To ensure the proper operation of RMII, internet connectivity needs to be enabled between RMII and Ripples cloud services.
The RMII supports both fixed ETHERNET connections using standard 100M/1000M RJ45 cable or wireless connectivity using 2.4G / 5G WIFI connection.
The IP address should be assigned by the local router with DHCP or for the fixed connection there is also an option to configure a fixed IPv4 address.
RMII will communicate with the following servers over secured HTTPS protocol:
*.coffeeripplescn.com (for locations in China only)
“For remote support, RMII will access *.drinkripples.com over port 2022. The traffic is over SSL”
In addition, RMII will access *.papertrailapp.com over port: 46460.
The Internet health check is done by accessing google service: http://clients3.google.com/generate_204
*WiFi captive portal - Ask your IT specialist to open a mac address for the RM II that you can find in your connectivity settings.
